What is an Entrepreneur?

An entrepreneur is someone who sets up and runs businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. The term entrepreneurship is derived from the French word, entreprendre (“to undertake”). An entrepreneur is one who can identify unmet needs in the marketplace and work to find ways to fulfill those identified needs. An entrepreneur is also someone who creates new jobs in the economy, which increases the nation’s wealth and economic strength.

Successful entrepreneurs often have big ideas and even bigger goals. They are not afraid of failure and tend to view setbacks as a learning opportunity rather than as a reason to quit. Entrepreneurs are highly motivated individuals who thrive on challenge and change. They are typically expert at identifying the changes and opportunities that surround them and then motivating others to embrace those changes.

Entrepreneurs are a driving force in today’s business world. They are changing the way we do business by finding solutions to problems that we didn’t even know we had. Entrepreneurs have a great sense of purpose and are dedicated to making the world a better place. They can be found all over the world working tirelessly to change things for the better.

However, not all entrepreneurs are created equal. Some may choose to start a single business venture and stick with it for many years while other entrepreneurs, known as serial entrepreneurs, begin several companies one after the other and then sell them once they reach maturity.
