Located in Riverside, Connecticut, Hill House offers a comfortable and affordable living option for elderly residents who may not be able to afford their own apartment. The 61 apartments are designed to encourage independence and promote socialization.
A wide array of activities are organized on a weekly basis for the well-being and enjoyment of the residents. Some examples include: a day at the beach and a drive-in movie, craft and baking sessions, resident holiday celebrations, picnics, trips to local restaurants, and daily exercise classes.
The home also features a hair and beauty salon and a cinema room where residents can watch dementia-friendly films. Additionally, the facility has a library, private dining room, and garden areas.
Our nursing team is on-site every day to provide care to our residents and their families. They oversee changes in a resident’s personal care and coordinate with each resident’s health care provider for appointments, pharmaceutical prescriptions, and treatment prescriptions including physical or other therapies. They also monitor and administer medication, assist with bathing, toileting, and dressing, and perform a variety of other tasks to meet the needs of our residents.
In addition to the licensed nurses who care for our residents, we have Certified Nurse’s Aides and Personal Support Specialists who work with individuals who require assistance with bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, dressing, eating, walking, and other daily tasks. The caregivers are trained to recognize signs of cognitive impairment and to provide specialized care to enhance a resident’s quality of life.

We offer a choice of Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing options for our residents. A licensed RN or LPN is on-site to monitor and provide the highest level of care possible for each individual. They are on-call 24 hours a day, and they provide transportation to medical appointments as needed for residents who cannot drive themselves or are unable to attend due to dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other health issues.
Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing is an ideal option for individuals who need assistance with basic tasks of living, but who are still healthy enough to participate in daily activities and engage with other residents.
